BOEN X-PRESS: The change from 2-strip to 3-strip

Boen is pionieer within the manufacture of parquet flooring. During the past 40 years Boen has manufactured and marketed its flooring in varying types and designs. Boen is recognized for its quality and the long life of its products.

Now we will start to manufacture parquet with a new width of 209mm and 3-strips in width.

Quick installation thanks to the 5G locking system

Boen will use the new 5G locking system for the production of the 3-strips and plank flooring.

The developer of the new 5G locking system is the Swedish company Välinge. This 5G locking system is the most advanced type of fold down system, compared to conventional mechanical locking systems. When pressing down the board, the tongue will lock and make a "single action" movement possible. This type of installation method will replace the angle/click method currently used by Boen. On the long edge of the board, Boen will continue using the regular, Boen Clic system.

Therefore, it is still possible to combine both methods - the 5G locking system with the Uniclic method.

While manufacturing parquet with the new 5G locking system, parquet with the old profile will still be available as long as stocks last.
